A Letter for Fitzjames

Dearest James,

I wish I had more words of support I could share with you, some wisdom I could grace you with for when times become particularly nonsensical or trying. Even if I did it would all seem false, wouldn't it? Unless you live through it how could one possibly prepare for all the maddening things that gets thrown into the Barge's path? Not to mention all those lessons I could share are best learned on one's own, which is equally as vexing to hear, let alone frustrating to write. I'd throttle myself if I could.

But I will share with you this, James, because of all the things I could say I feel there is only one of any importance. If you can only remember one thing throughout your journey here and beyond, it is this:

You are not a fake.

If you can take this with you, I promise it will guide you through any and all that comes your way. I see you, James Fitzjames, and I will always choose to stand beside you as a brother and friend.
